SATVA is the Lower Secondary Group at The OASIS

The significance of the Lower Secondary, the middle school period for learning – and learning good habits – is perhaps only surpassed by that of early childhood development.

We see it as critical for everything from developing personality traits, building resilience, curiosity, study habits, working in teams to making decisions and building good character through moral values, sportsmanship and community service.

It is a critical time for the student to take ownership of her/ his learning. It is also a critical time for emotional development. What and how the student learns can change much in their future. It is a time of amazing opportunity for learning new skills.

School in this period, and the habits that adolescents develop academically and socially are critical. Parents play the most important role and a School – parent partnership becomes an integral ingredient to enhance the experience for the child’s education.
